Platyhelminthes
The Platyhelminthes are made up of flatworms. Platyhelminthes have flattened bodies, and that is why the worms in this phylum are called flatworms. Platyhelminthes can be free-living which is when they live and survive on their own, and their is also parasites, which need a living organism host to live. The tapeworm is an example of a flatworm parasite found in the intestine of almost very kind of animal. Other flatworms are liver flukes and planarians. Parasites obtain food from the host's intestines. Free-living flatworms eat small organisms and the dead bodies of larger organisms. Platyhelminthes live in ponds, streams, and in other living organisms. Platyhelminthes reproduce asexually. Also, platyhelminthes have eye spots, which are two spots where the worm can sense light but can't actually see anything. -hr
